Looking at it holistically, how dirty a player is Cressy? How many times has he been sent off? It was completely an accident.
As for Rice leaving a leg hanging out, that's bollocks too. It's just he was up against a world champion cheat, a great player but an expert in running into defenders and falling over.
Liverpool have always been like that for the whole time I have watched them and it's one of the reasons I hate them as much. Great players but will use every trick in the book to cheat their way into free kicks in dangerous areas.
Also watch how they cynically targeted Benny and Pablo, constantly kicking them up in the air. I don't get how pundits and the media have this massive blindside?

he didn't go in with both feet flapping around as you put it, the whole movement of the challenge up until the point of contact with the ball his right foot is in contact with the ground, it was the awquard way in which he made contact with the ball which resulted in his right foot leaving the ground.

I have watched it loads, which proves to me two things - it is NOT a blatant red card but it is also NOT a clean challenge. Like I said, dont think it was a red but if the ref had given it, VAR would 100% not have turned it down. It was clumsy, you shouldnt be going in with both feet flapping about in today game. The number of people who have talked about him 'getting the ball' shows the lack of understanding of the rules.

watch it again, when Creswell makes the challenge his right foot is on the ground, his right foot only leaves the ground when he effectively treads on the ball with his left foot, the movement generated by this catapults his right forward off the ground which is when the connection is made with Henderson. There was nothing wrong with the initial challenge it was the movement after his foot makes an awquard and totally accidental contact with the ball which caused both feet to leave the ground.

Salah relies on his quick feet movement conning the ref, there is no education on that as we've all seen him get free kicks when no foot was clearly near him....he's just a cheating cunt.

I've just spent a happy 45 minutes on a Liverpool forum and some of the stuff on there has made me laugh and laugh.
We are a typical Moyes long ball team, the ref was bent and gave us everything, the first goal was a foul on the keeper, Liverpool were tired after playing in Europe last Wednesday, Cresswell should have been sent off, they have loads of injuries, we just had a good day and won't play like that again all season and my favourite post (possibly ever!) Was this:
'I wouldn't buy him after one decent display on how they fared against us.
F**k me, we don't want another Charlie Adam or Adnan Bogdan on our hands'
Who can guess the player this Mikky is talking about?

Nutsin, I agree Sarah dived or went down as they say, but Rice was stupid sticking his leg out in that situation. Rice is still learning and needs to learn that in a tight situation at the top level you cannot stick your leg out in front of a player who has just moved the ball beyond you.

The other issue was he had both feet off the ground, which is one of the definitions of 'not being in control', it wasnt a good challenge, it was clumsy. That said I still dont think it was a red card BUT if the ref had given a red, VAR would not have overturned it.

Exactly right. Cresswell was totally in control when he made the challenge, it was an unfortunate connection with the ball which resulted in the contact on Henderson which when slowed down does look bad and does look like Creswell was not in control. Fortunately the person on VAR had a brain and could see this for what it was, a totally accidental follow through off the back of a good challenge and an unfortunate connection with the ball

i dont know if anyone has mentioned this already but if you look closely at the cresswell tackle , the first contact with the ball takes his foot up and on to his leg .
i havent seen this mentioned , but you have to watch closely ..

On the keeper because there wasn’t and that Cresswell challenge was no red as his foot bounced off the top of the ball, which is what happened.
The bias toward Liverpool makes outplaying them and beating them even sweeter!
Listening to Klopp after the game was the cherry on top…….Wait till we beat them at their place, they’ll go completely dopey!
Beating them in the fashion that we did is where the real story is!
We outplayed them in the second half and they know it.
